I have currently a permanent position at the Laboratoire Univers et Particules de Montpellier
(France) as Assistant
Astronomer.
My main activities are research in stellar evolution, teaching and duty on
the POLLUX stellar spectra database.
In the following you will find some information concerning my past and present research activities and collaborations, a list of my published papers and some links.
My research activity concerns stellar evolution modeling together with the study of the impact of hydrodynamical and magneto-hydrodynamical transport processes on the evolution and nucleosynthesis in stars.
I obtained my PhD in Astrophysics from the Toulouse III University (France) on "Transport processes related to rotation inside evolved stars" under the supervision of Dr Corinne Charbonnel and Dr Manuel Forestini in 2002.
After my PhD, I have worked as a post-doc at the Institut d'Astronomie et d'Astrophysique de Bruxelles from 2002 to 2005, in collaboration with Pr Marcel Arnould and Dr Lionel Siess, mainly, on the study of production of the radionucleide 26Al by both AGB and Wolf-Rayet stars. During this period, I also worked in tight collaboration with Dr Georges Meynet , from Geneva Observatory (Switzerland), who is an expert in massive stars modeling. This project was related to the scientific analysis of the observations made by the INTEGRAL satellite.
From October 2005 to January 2007, I had a post-doc position at CEA (France) in the Astrophysics Departement . There, I worked with Dr. S. Turck-Chièze on the modeling of MHD transport processes in stellar interiors. The main goal of the project was to build a tool to interpret helioseimic data. I also worked in collaboration with Dr. A.S. Brun on the simulation of rotating extended stellar convective envelopes.
I am currently also affiliated to the DSM/IRFU of CEA as an external scientific collaborator.
